“LRNDVCS – Round 1.5” is now LIVE!!!

Round 1.5

Inspired by the hats worn by Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon, Greg Anthony during the 1991 NBA Draft. UNLV became the 4th team in NBA history to have 3 players drafted in the 1st Round & the FIRST school to produce 3 lottery picks in the same draft (#1, #9 & #12)!!! But you don’t have to be a UNLV fan to be a fan of this New Era 9Fifty snapback hat…plenty of colorways to choose from. (Don’t see your favorite teams’ colors? More colorways coming soon.) Now available in our online shop. By the way, just in case you didn’t know, 21% of each hat ($8/hat) is DONATED to local Las Vegas charities, so thanks in advance for your help & support!!!

Yes, WE’RE OPEN!!! Presenting “LRNDVCS – Round 1″…

“It was all a dream…” Today is a very good day, because after several years of careful thought, planning & designing, we’re finally opening the Learned Vices’ online store at LearnedVices.com!!! Initially, there are 5 different designs (of many more designs that we hope to print in the future) in 2 different colors, which were printed on super soft fine jersey (100% cotton) t-shirts & made in the U.S.A! If you click on any pics of these tees in this post, you will be taken to our online store to purchase that tee (Nice, right? We try to make it as easy as possible). So, here are pics of all the rest of the shirts of “LRNDVCS – Round 1” & all their descriptions. We really hope that you like them & if you really really like them, please don’t hesitate to share Learned Vices with your friends & family. Thanks! Above & below is our COLLEGE design…

EVERYONE should go to college, even if it’s just for a semester or two to “try it out.” I guess I can probably thank Hollywood for biting me with the college bug at an early age…Animal House, Revenge of the Nerds…2, 3 & IV(!), Back to School, The Program, Higher Learning, PCU, With Honors, Saved by the Bell: The College Years, A Different World, Class Act, etc. helped fuel my desire to pursue HIGHER education after I earned my HS diploma. Don’t be fooled, stay schooled! The next design is our B.O.I. design…

My friends & I have gotten into many arguments (maybe even a fight or two) over trivial & stupid things that usually started with the proposition “Wanna bet on it?”. Really, what’s the harm of a friendly wager between friends…fantasy leagues, poker nights, pickup basketball games, MMA/boxing matches, etc.? It’s usually all fun & games until somebody gets hurt. Words of advice, never bet what you can’t afford to lose, bro’s before ho’s & money isn’t everything. Next up is our F.S.C. design…

Ol’ Blue Eyes might have sang about few other cities, but he definitely LOVED Las Vegas (he even owned 9% of the Sands Hotel & Casino for a bit) and our city wouldn’t be the same without him. Frank, The Rat Pack & his other Hollywood friends helped Vegas evolve from a cowboy town to a place that basically everyone in the world wanted to be at. “The Voice” even helped recruit for the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels back when Tark The Shark was our coach. Plus he helped raise $5 million for the UNLV athletic program & was also presented an honorary doctorate in 1976. Thanks, Dr. Chairman…RRREEEBBBEEELLLSSS!!! The 4th design is our S.R.D. design…This shirt was inspired by the old sign of a small casino on The LV Strip next door to Circus Circus whose original owner allegedly showed both the Kansas City & Chicago mob families how to skim money from all the LV casinos in the 70’s. As a reward in 1983, he received a 15 year prison sentence. We hope that you’ll wear this shirt proud, let the world know how you feel & stay away from those dumb sluts (or at least wrap it up, B)! Thanks & you’re welcome. And the last & final shirt of “LRNDVCS – Round 1” is our GandHIGH design…

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” -Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

The above quote is the ethos of Learned Vices. Life’s short, have fun, be happy, read everything you can & love everyone. It’s not that hard. Gandhi was an amazing person & he inspired many people, including President Barrack Obama & M.L.K. Jr. & he also inspired me to make this shirt…Gandhi R.I.P. Well, that’s all for now, folks. Hope you all really like all our shirts & if you place an order, then we promise to send your order out ASAP! Thanks so much for all your support! We really appreciate it. Have a great day & a great weekend! By the way, 21% of your purchase (Not Just Proceeds, But 21% OFF The Top…$6 per shirt) will be DONATED to Local Las Vegas Area Charities & Youth Programs. Click HERE for more info about Project Blackjack. Thanks again for your support & for your help!

C.R.E.A.M. Team vs. Dominican Republic 113-59

Last Thurs. night (7/12), my wife & I went to the Thomas & Mack Center to watch the SOLD OUT exhibition game between the C.R.E.A.M. team (a.k.a. ’12 Team USA b-ball team) & the Dominican Republic. Needless to say, I definitely wasn’t expecting to see any members of the ’92 Dream Team (especially after Kobe’s crazy comments), but Scottie Pippen (Da Bulls!), Clyde “The Gylde” Drexler, Coach Lenny Wilkins & Chris Mullin were in the house! Also, watching the game in the stands were NBA legends Dominque Wilkins, Gary Payton & Bill Russell! During halftime, artist David Giribaldi from this season’s America’s Got Talent painted a pretty awesome picture of Scottie Pippen & Scottie seemed pretty happy with it (see pics below). While the game wasn’t a close one at all (Nice try, Al Horford & Co.!), it was a lot of fun to watch. Anthony Davis’ 4-pt play was crazy to see (Fear the Brow, indeed) & watching Kevin Durantula do what he does best was an absolute treat. Andre Iguodala paid some solid ball & won the Tiffany & Co. Player of the Game award (Congrats, Dre!). I’m going to make a bold prediction here, but even without D. Rose, D. Wade, D. Howard & The Blake Show, the C.R.E.A.M. team isn’t bringing back any medals home from London except bright & shiny Gold ones! Can’t wait for the Olympics…USA! USA! USA! Please enjoy these crappy pics that I took with my iPhone…
